Dutch Regulator Widens Post-Brexit Scope

The supervisory scope of the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) has broadened significantly since Brexit as the Dutch regulator onboards new UK venues and asset classes.
“We have welcomed quite a number of new venues that are trading or facilitating the trade in new types of asset classes that previously didn’t have strong Amsterdam-based presence.” said Matthijs Geneste, supervisor, capital markets infrastructure at AFM.
