As MiFID II draws near, firms are having to figure out how best to address its new regulatory demands in what could well turn out to be a drastically different landscape for fixed income traders. A side effect of that permutation, though, could also mean more budget spend directed to new platforms and analytics tools.
In the financial markets, there are many groups concerned about the looming MiFID II deadline. Of those, fixed income traders — and specifically fixed-income traders on the buy side — are facing major questions as to how they will react come January 3, 2018.
