Sponsored Repo Volumes Peaked at the End of 2020

Sponsored repo peaked at a high of $431 billion (£311 billion) in the fourth quarter of 2020, representing a 20% increase from the third quarter figure.
The trend last year following 2019’s trend, when there was a peak of $524 billion on December 31 2019, which included significantly higher volume from cash borrowers, data from State Street revealed.
